One thousand one hundred entries were received from individuals and clubs across the country and abroad for the various competition categories. In the category we entered the judges were impressed with the top quality of our images, which scored 27 or 28 out of 30. The organisers also said that if the images had been submitted as 'singles' then more than half of them would have been likely to feature in the Awards.

Second was Gallery Photogroup from Middlesborough and third was Guisborough Photogroup - again from the North East.

The Sharow competition gives 60% of its profits to the Martin House Hospice charity and 40% to Sharow Church.  In view of this, the committee agreed prior to the presentation that we should donate the prize money to the Martin House Hospice.  Thanks to our Treasurer, Fiona being there this was done and the Martin House representative was delighted with our donation.

Congratulations to those members whose images helped us win this competition and thank you to Nick for getting our entry in on time. We look forward to entering again next year.
