YPU Annual Exhibition Doncaster

This year the YPU Annual Assembly and Exhibition was held in Doncaster on 14 May. The Exhibition continues until 30 June at the Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery.

It has been another successful year for the club. For the second year, running we have won the J E Barker Trophy for colour prints. This was the result of having fifteen prints selected below.

     

Four of the prints received certificates. These were:

	Walking the Dog by Nick Hodgson	November Stillness by Tony Rostron
	Balance and Poise by Richard Spurdens	Dreams of the Dance by Richard Spurdens

Altogether Nick had three prints selected, Tony two and Richard three. The other selected prints were by Len Downes, Rodney Marsh, Len Morris, Phil Reeds, Pam Runton, Geoff Smith and Liz Stringer.

We came second in the Keighley Challenge Trophy for Monochrome prints with 11.60 points compared to 11.75 for the winners Doncaster Camera Club.

In Projected Images we had thirteen images selected and two received certificates. These were:

	Short-eared Owl by Len Downes	Winter Sunset by Nick Hodgson

Altogether Len had four images selected, Nick two and Richard Spurdens four. The other selected images were by Roderick Hyde, Rodney Marsh and Laurie Tetley.

In addition six of our prints and two projected images were selected for the Photographic Alliance Competition. Three prints by Richard Spurdens and the others by Rodney Marsh, Len Downes and Phil Reeds. The two projected images by Len Downes.
